Truganina

Truganina is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 22 km west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the Cities of Melton and Wyndham local government areas. The size of Truganina is approximately 64.6 square kilometres. It has 10 parks covering nearly 0.8% of total area.

Truganina is a rapidly growing suburb. The population of Truganina in 2011 was 9,138 people. By 2016 the population was 20,681 showing a population growth of 126.3% in the area during that time.

Truganina is bordered roughly by the Skeleton-Waterholes Creek to the west; Boundary Road to the north; Foundation to the east and the Federation Trail to the south. It is home to the A-League club Western United.

Truginina is a rapidly growing infill area to the North West of Melbourne. The area has established infrastructure and has been enhanced by the opening this year of the Williams Landing Train station with direct access to the CBD just a short drive or bus ride away.

It is bordered roughly by the Skeleton-Waterholes Creek to the west; Boundary Road to the north; Foundation to the east and the Federation Trail to the south. There is a brand new multi-sport facility called the Mainview Boulevard Reserve.

Residents of the area consist of young families and professional couples who are looking for affordable new housing and easy access to the CBD and established infrastructure. The area has several popular schools and community facilities and planned upgrades to shopping and recreational facilities will further enhance the area.

Truganina is home to Truganina P-9 College and Truganina South Primary School. There is also St Clare's Catholic Primary School and a private school, Westbourne Grammar School.
